Frequently Asked Questions

What is Hope Co-op?
Hope Co-op is a community of Christians who choose to do Christianity differently. We believe expressions of faith should not be constrained, but opened by creative possibilities. As a creative, casual, and caring community, we also share one main goal: To share the hope we have in Christ with the world .

Does Hope Co-op have worship services?
We do! But you might not have realized it if you hadn’t asked. Hope Co-op has worshipped together in a variety of formats from The Table to Co-op Campfires and other special worship services, to Thirsty Thursday around The Table. Have a creative idea for worship? Share it with us and help us plan it!

How should I dress?
Whether you are attending Thirsty Thursday, Thirsty Thursday around The Table, Co-op Cares, or another Hope Co-op event (unless otherwise specified) you should come dressed as you are. Come in your everyday clothes, your work clothes, your workout clothes, your cozy clothes or whatever you prefer to wear. Whether you dress up or dress down you will be welcomed as you are! We tend to dress more on the casual side than on the formal side, but what’s important to us is that you wear what feels right to you!

Do you offer childcare?
We do! We love kids and want them to join us! Parents, you are welcome to bring your kids to our events. We hire adults to direct our kids to safely engage in fun and age-appropriate activities. They are nearby so you can still keep an eye on your kids while also enjoying and participating in the event’s discussion. If you prefer, you can keep your kids with you too. Let us know if you have more questions for us regarding kids, or if you have kid-friendly suggestions you’d like to make.

If you have more questions, please don’t hesitate to send them our way. We’d be happy to give you more information.

No one asks for money… how is this ministry funded?
Hope Co-op is only able to exist because of the generous donations made by people participating in our events, by the selfless support of our financial support partners, and on account of the various grants we have received. If Hope Co-op has had an impact on your faith and life, or if you believe in the mission and work of Hope Co-op, we would be so grateful for any support you might send our way. Checks may be mailed to Hope Co-op’s Homebase address in Sioux Falls (1001 E 6th Street), or you may prefer to donate using the secure platform offered through the Presbyterian Foundation: Donate Here. We would also greatly appreciate your prayers for the wellbeing and ongoing support of Hope Co-op.
